What is contactless payment?
A contactless payment – sometimes described as a NFC (Near-field Communication) payment – is a fast and secure method for people to buy products and services using their debit, credit, or smartcard/chip card. 
To make a contactless payment, the consumer ‘taps’ their card near a point-of-sale terminal that is equipped with the contactless technology. Since contactless payments do not require a signature or a PIN number, transaction sizes on cards are limited. 
Examples of non-credit or debit card contactless payments include Apple Pay, Android Pay, Samsung Pay and Google Wallet.
